After graduating with a business management degree from Johnson State College in Vermont, Kurt worked in the family business of owning and operating 21 Bergsons Ice Cream and Food Shops in Massachusetts, Rhode Island, and New York, and most notably the Bergson 1790 Restaurant on Route 9 in Westborough. He succeeded in the roles of president and owner before selling the restaurants to Newport Creamery in 1999 and the 1790 restaurant in 2012. He is a co-owner of Pinecroft Dairy in West Boylston.
Kurt brings his business acumen to the team as well as his personal experience of buying, renovating, and selling five properties. He is proficient in negotiating leases, property purchases, and sales and understands the value of honesty, integrity, and service.
A Westborough resident since 1989, Kurt lives with his wife and three children.
